DECA Students Shine with Professionalism at College Fair

The DECA students of Little Elm High School go above and beyond when it comes to professionalism and hospitality at the annual College Fair. After school, students receive detailed training to prepare for their roles—whether greeting guests at the door, escorting representatives to the gym, or serving from the drink cart. Each student reports to a DECA officer and carries out specific duties with precision.

Students assigned to escort college representatives are even equipped with conversation starters to make the walk welcoming and engaging, while also assisting with carrying materials and setting up tables. Throughout the event, DECA students ensure no table is left unattended, stepping in to connect with representatives if needed. There were 125 colleges present at the event.

When the fair concludes, the students efficiently break down tables before trading their heels and ties for pizza and laughter. Year after year, college representatives share how impressed they are with the professionalism, dedication, and energy of the DECA students—making them proud ambassadors of the school.
